Steelhead Winner

Spring Derby winner Derrick from Oxford Mi On 4-13-11 got this 10.9 lb 33 inch female steelhead at Tippy Dam white water between 2nd and 3rd set of steps on rocky shore, using a royal coachman fly (he tied himself). After 4 days of not keeping fish on his fly and spooling out from jumps. Finally his best steelhead yet, while only 2 jumps out of the water and taking him down to the boat launch to land it, his fly hook broke after fish was in the net... sucessful at last. Lesson learned never buy cheap hooks to build your tied flies on. Come try your Luck!!
