be new world record and awaits verification by world record keepers as
the largest ever caught. On 9 - 9 - 09 Tom Healy from Rockford got a new
Michigan State Record Brown trout of 41 lb. 7.25 oz 43.75 in. long. While
fishing at the mouth of Bear Creek on big Manistee River just a few miles
from R & J Resort. He caught some salmon before hooking this big one
near the access point where Bear Creek tributary flows into Big Manistee
